Paul Christiano was convicted in 1999 of purchasing child pornography through the mail. The offense, committed when Christiano was in his early 20s, obliged him to register as a sex offender in the state of Illinois. In the years that immediately followed, though, he built a formidable career as a dancer and choreographer in Chicago, breaking out with a 2001 choreographic work produced by the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago at the Auditorium Theatre. It was called “Miracle, Interrupted.”

“I do not think there has ever been a better work created by a Chicago choreographer,” John Schmitz, the founder of Dance Chicago, said Monday.

On Wednesday of last week, three of his friends said, Christiano went to the Forest Park home of his close friend, the dancer and choreographer Autumn Eckman, for whom he was housesitting while Eckman was away teaching in Maine. He wrote a will and penned a note, they said, lay down in one of the beds and then poisoned himself. His body was found, Eckman said, in her home Saturday.

Well, the whole country USA is shit.

You Czechs should not look upon the USA, on the contrary, the USA should look up to you, Czechs! Your country is close to perfect, Czech Republics, USA sucks.

Scandinavia, Czech, have a reasonable justice-system and discrimination is low.

I think and I realy know its far away from perfect, but if you campare USA with Czech Republic, you can't realy do this properly because in my opinion there is very strong sentiment to be keen of american way life propaganda. Due to long years of soviet occupation czech people blindly trust west, even after 25 years of this mind massage, they love it. I glad that times getting better and many of us starting thing reasonably and start using own brain. I just hope that we still have some time to change this unmoral system.

Czech Republic have a great culture, good educated population, many nature, almost no crime and friendly people.
Czech is not Russia, but also not USA (thanks God), I hope Czech people are capable to appreciate their culture and do not try to become American. USA sucks. Russia sucks most of the time too.

Czechs are celebrating freedom, well remain free please. USA is not free, it is a police-state, a dictatorship like Russia. UK sucks as well.
The best way to stay free, is get out of the EU, out of the NAVO, also not joining the Eurasia-states (Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzia and Kazakhstan) and not the SCO. Just be neutral.

Havel was a good man. He did understood freedom (svoboda).

Looking to the USA for freedom is like looking to Uganda or Russia for human rights. It's ridiculous.

Kofola Nizozemi: Thank you , I agree with most of your message. But not with Havel. He was drunk puppet of west and he sold us out. Try to find something about his statement about freedom and humanitan bombardment help. Look whats happeining in the world. Maybe in the begining he has good ideas, but later most of it was BS. He said someting and did something else. Everybody likes him officialy, because his pro west opinions. And thats hand in hand with this west mood. Our history was full of heroes, but Havel wasnt among them.

For me Havel was a good person who spread out thinks about humanity and solidarity between people, he very often pointed not to be selfish and not to be as God and that life of human has more sense than only economy rising. He spent years in prison because of communists. For me he is hero, also as Milada Horáková, also as milions of Judes, who were killed in Brezinka, also as every person, who tells the truth and who is persecuted for the truth.

The main problem in our society is not about our past or future presidents, but about everyone of us. I you want better people around you, first of all you have to make better yourself. But many people are lazy and think, that the better world will be made by other people or by itself without their participation. That's the main reason, why our society is not as good as we want, because also we have many words about humanity, solidarity and justice in our mouths, but in fact we do very unhuman things, because we think that we can do everything what we want, but without respect to anything, to other peoples lives, to nature, etc.

Registry of course is terrible and inhuman and completely insane.
It is terrible that the US-state pushed this man, a talented, gifted man, so far, that he committed suicide. It is completely uncivilized, barbarian.

Maybe you are right and I should not mix 'politics', it is just that in the Netherlands we suffer many years (longer than Czech) from USA/UK. It makes me angry as my country used to be a little paradise, like Czech Republics, but it is ruined.

Now just looking to a girl, just looking that's all, can lead to someone beating you up. That is the Netherlands today 2015. Getting beaten up for looking. I've many other examples, but also that would be off-topic.
