Is an erotic attraction something quite different than a sexual drive?
I do not think so.

May be an erotic attraction refers to more spiritual things, and sexual attraction is more corporeal, physical, physiological, animal - lower, worse?
That's why we are more eager to accept erotism than sexuality?
Erotism is, for us, easier to admit than sex.
Sex for us is something suspicious, not fair , even dirty and eventually absolutely not for children!

That's why we are fighting so strongly against sex.

Parents also love children. But it is not always an axiom.
But parents who love children kiss them and fondle.
Why pedophiles can't do the same?
