What motivates the porn trade?

This is old news, but it raises a question I often ask myself.
What motivates people to trade illegal porn when the penalty is so severe?

They don't do it for money, so why do they do it?

Is it the thrill of being a criminal?

I think it's the desire for new things.

And do not forget that watching child porn make horny 80% non pedophiles as well, even if they usually lay, saying "its horrible".

Trading porn does not mean producing porn and producing child porn does not mean use/harm child...

Trading something for free reduces need for comercial material. Why would people buy (and take risk) something that is free? And science researches show, that watching porn reduces sexual offence and watching child porn reduces sexual offences against childs. Removing child porn leads to more harm to childs, this is BAD ....

Then if i trade 4 pictures for another 5 pictures its not trade?? Trading do not always mean seling, or buying...

But child porn with real children in itself is doing harm to those real children... and this is also BAD...

How axacly can harm some picture of me, if i do not know about it at all?
And even if i know about him, will criminalizing of posession help with it in any way?

Most images and videos on trade channels were "traded for free, u do not need to always change picure for picture. Everyone who have something can give it to others and take what he want, still its called trade...

Yes u can be harmed when u r "actor" in such material, but no harm is done by someones possesion. And there is no way how to prevent it, after any material entered internet. Plus i can be harmed if somebody (like police) will start serious inspection of that material (becose its such a "big crime") and they come to me....

Yes, but you should define it more specific, even nudist photos are sometimes marked as child porn and the same is done to art or non nude photos/videos. Most stupid is, when girl creates video with herself and is prosecuted as CP producer...
